Frame Material – Aluminum
Aluminum frames are fairly light and very stiff, giving a great ride for climbing and responsive handling in tight situations. On the downside, they have very little natural shock absorption, so the ride down won’t be as smooth.
Suspension – Full Suspension
Full suspension bikes have a suspension fork as well as a rear shock. This suspension system allows the bike to provide smooth rides on rough trails and high-speed descents. However, these bikes tend to be heavier than equivalent hardtails, and won’t perform as efficiently on flat surfaces or climbs.
Travel – 120mm
With a 120mm front fork, the Sensor 9R Expert has 10mm less travel than the average trail bike. Most trail bikes have a travel between 120 and 150 millimeters.
